I've not read any of the Jack of Fables series yet so I was a bit lost. Will re-read this after I've read some of that series.
adventurous funny mysterious fast-paced

Very strange volume.

This one was weird with all the literals and fables and Jack Frost. But it was weirdly entertaining.

I

I always love a good metatextual story, but I'm not sure if this one really accomplishes as much as it set out to do. Also, Jack Horner showing up and sleeping with a depressed, despondent, sleep-deprived and basically shell-shocked Rose Red under some seriously iffy pretenses is significantly less consent than I'd like to be seeing around these parts.

I didn't understand what was really going on in this one. Turns out, it really is more of a conclusion to the Jack of Fables comics.

Too meta.

I've read every Fables trade up to this one and most of the time I had absolutely no idea what the hell was going on.

so it went Once... aka there was an author someone who created the characters that existed as one person and i honestly just love that idea so i didn’t mind seeing happen in a different thing at all i think i’ve just run my course with this series...
