this was an interesting mystery thriller with a touch of Viking lore.
When a body is found with "signs" needing an expert's eye Det. Bisset reaches out to her "friend" Dr Wilding.
Despite wanting to leave death behind, unless it's old and dusty, he is comes to the assistance of his "friend" and uses his keen intellect in uncovering the mystery surrounding the Viking influenced "signs" involved in the newest Chicago murder.

If you enjoy a quick and easy mystery with a good twist at the end this book which appears to be a first in a series is for you.
Good prose, good character development, and a truly developed story.
