Interesting concept. It expands on an existing Omegaverse which is already not based in reality, and then reveals that dragon shifters exist. It's kind of hard to take the surprise seriously when the whole world doesn't have women to begin with.

The book was very smutty, but still has much more plot than Ugly. There's a lot of talking things out, a big emphasis on the boss/workplace. I appreciate the bodily autonomy and discussion of fetishes/likes as the relationship grows.

The book is pleasantly human in its character depth. I'm not sure why it didn't resonate with me as much as I'd have liked, but it was still a pretty good read.

This story is so much fun, and the MCs are so endearing I cannot help but recommend it. That said, please know that this one definitely explores the whole concept of possible male pregnancy and sex with shifters with everything they entail. Please read the Content Warning!
Young Omega Lawrence is the adorable PA to his cranky, older boss and has a simple life. One day in the office he meets a sexy as hell, powerful but polite Alpha. Ernest, having given up on finding his mate, is traveling around the world while working as an aerospace engineer. He’s absolutely taken by Laurie and proposes that they spend the night together to have some fun. They have insane chemistry … which is followed by the realization in the morning that they are much more to each other than just a quick hook-up. Ernest is beyond happy to find his one true mate … while Lawrie is truly freaking out by the prospect of tying his life to a dragon, of all things. Even though it’s immediately clear that the pull between them is undeniable, he is having a hard time accepting that his future might be predetermined. I didn’t want to stop reading their witty, sometimes fun, sometimes serious conversations and wished I could go on dates like them (flying, anyone?). I enjoyed their interactions with all the interesting side characters and adored how Ernest treated Lawrie with absolute gentleness. They are just beyond cute together … and beyond hot, too. Roe writes smut like no other and he doesn’t shy away from exploring any kinks. Of course, having a rich Alpha dragon for mate isn’t all just fun, especially when Lawrie is caught in the middle of a deadly corporate war. But rest assured, their sweet HEA will please everyone.

4.5 ⭐ rounded up!

This was so good, well written, I loved the main characters and their friends and family members and I really appreciated the two person POV writing.

A cut above many of the fated mates shifter MPreg books available.

The only thing I didn't like was that this seemed to be a male-only Omegaverse world. It's a choice and I don't think I appreciate it - why not have multiple genders???

In this you'll find:
✨ MM PNR with spice
✨ Omegaverse, MPreg
✨ Dragon shifter aeronautics engineer
✨ Human omega executive assistant
✨ Knotting, heats, rimming, breeding kink
✨ Big family
✨ Family planning decisions (with respect for bodily autonomy)
✨A HEA

Skydive is a snarky and swoony tale between a dragon shifter who’s nearly given up on finding his mate and the sharp-witted human who shows up at just the right time.

It’s New Year’s Eve and Lawrie is overworking himself for his tyrannical boss yet again when he meets Ernst, a handsome alpha. They’re instantly attracted and spend a scorching hot night together — but Ernst travels a lot and neither has expectations for more than a hook-up. But when Lawrie wakes up, everything has changed — everything. He soon learns dragons are real, and he’s now mated to one. But can they figure out a way to be together when Laurie’s whole world view has to shift?

I loved Skydive. I don’t always read omegaverse with mpreg, but when I do, it’s often from the amazing mind of Roe Horvat. I loved that Lawrie has all the reactions to learning dragons are real — and that he can now bear a dragon — that many romances gloss over — fear, disbelief, and the sheer “what the hell?!” of it all. Lawrie doesn’t take anything lying down, and I’m here for it. And Ernst is the perfect concerned new mate, eager to be with his love, while also trying not to overwhelm him. If you want a frequently funny, fast-paced, and scorchingly hot romance, I definitely recommend Skydive.
