Fun summer read! Kinda slow to get into but enjoyable once you get into the story.
emotional funny

A perfect beach read that keeps you hooked and emotionally invested- just the way I like them! I was literally laughing out loud throughout the whole book, the characters were incredibly endearing, and the storyline had a few twists I didn’t see coming. A wonderful, feel-good romance with solid writing and real depth. Signed, a book lover.

this book was so.

literally book lovers is just beach read in a different font but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. idk what’s better but i don’t even want to pick a favorite bc they’re both so

This book is so funny and charming to start. Simultaneously a Hallmark movie and a spoof of a Hallmark movie. It's like a hallmark movie, but there are no hero's. And people are just people. And who you are is okay and there is someone for you. It's small town charm with bookstores and restaurants named after pubs galore, and it actually does feel very small town in a relaistic way. It's career people who aren't vilians, it is family who stick together and support each other and overall it is SO refreshing.

This book was absolutely nothing like I anticipated (perhaps I didn't ever ever read the dust jacket?) AND it is SOOOOO much better than I could have imagine. Honestly, I was expecting run of the mill, cliche, romance, but MAN was I wrong. Idk what i thought this book was, but i definitely didn't expect to be personally simultaneously attacked and supported in my workaholic tendency

I think the book summary is slightly misleading. I was expecting a enemies to lovers story, which isn’t quite how I’d describe this story.

That said…

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Nora and Charlie!!! Their humor and verbal sparring is TOP NOTCH! And I love a strong female lead, and Nora is nothing if not strong.

“The last page ache…The deep breath in after you’ve set the book aside.”
That’s the line that sums up my feelings for this book better than any. I didn’t want this book to end even though I had the hardest time not pulling a Nora and skipping to the last page. I could spend forever in Nora & Charlie’s universe ❤️

yes yes. Although the majority of the book was only based over 3 weeks and I read it in 5 days it feels like I was immersed in it for months (in a good way if that makes sense?). I understand why people said If you’re a sister, you should read this book. So cute and sweet and honestly?? learned a life lesson here

This definitely got me out of my reading slump this year. It’s a light, heartwarming read. If you like Hallmark movies, this is going to be a hit.
