Wish they’d taken some effort to make it feel like different interviews, but he’s very eloquent and personable. Aside from his comments the introductory essay is a masterclass in grief and the love underneath it

The selection of essays was a little repetitive but nice read when feeling the absence of Bourdain's voice.

Anthony Bourdain definitely makes this book special. I struggled a bit with the way how it was set up and the intro seemed to meander and failed to set the stage for one of the most insightful people our society has had in the modern time. However, damn is Bourdain infectious and keeps you reading page to page. Definitely going to go back to some of these interviews, I’m just curious if this series of books holds up with less interesting cultural icons.

Super quick read but you can almost hear his voice as he’s speaking, which while eerie, was also comforting
