Wieder schön, auch wenn es für mich der schwächste Band derer ist, die ich bisher gehört habe. Aber zwischendurch für Sonne-Strand-Feeling ganz nett.

Jeanne Birdsall proves that great contemporary fiction doesn't have to be overly angsty. The Penderwick sisters are back for another summer adventure, this time on the coast of Maine, and Skye tries her hand (somewhat unwillingly) at being the OAP. Birdsall's subtle humor and wonderful characters make this contemporary story as timeless as [b:Little Women|1934|Little Women (Little Women, #1)|Louisa May Alcott|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1309282614s/1934.jpg|3244642].

The third book about the Penderwick sisters. I read this one to my kids, and they liked it as much as they liked the first (somehow, we missed the second book in the series). I think these novels will stand the test of time and will become modern classics.

This surprisingly got better. I wish there were three story lines so you knew what happened to the parents and eldest sibling during the two weeks apart. Glad to see Jeffrey met his father.

I listened to this audiobook without having read or heard the first two books. Disk after disk, I kept waiting for something to HAPPEN. A boy came to stay at the house. The aunt hurt her ankle. The eldest sister called on the phone.

Oh my gosh, the book is so boring.

My least favorite of the series so far, but still good with a few laugh out loud moments
