I read a few of the Goosebumps books when I was younger, but I don't really remember which ones. I spotted a bunch of them at the library and just decided to check them out. I don't think I have ever read this one before. The main plot of this book is that there is a crazy piano teacher who wants to collect the hands of a bunch of kids, for whatever reason. Jerry (the main character) seemed like a nice kid. He is a very easy character to root for. Now that I am older, I do notice that some parts of these books are very predictable. I was able to guess that the fact that Jerry likes to play pranks on his parents would lead to them not believing him when he told them about the creepy piano upstairs. Because the book was predictable at times, it was harder to get through. These books aren't really scary when you are older. I will say that I applaud the author's ability to come up with new concepts for each book. That is a real accomplishment. Overall, the book was okay.

Good book, not as good as the other ones but definitely still enjoyable.

I should've expected it but the twist at the end did catch me off guard

Had to read it when I saw it at the used book store since I’m a piano teacher.
It’s certainly not a book written for my middle aged self but I suppose my 10 year old might find it interesting.
