I made it through this book purely on the wish to see how the proverbial car crash ends. Not disappointed really, but I also find it hard to enjoy a book when I dislike every single character.

I would give this a 3.75. liked this one better than most but that may be bc I read it rather than listened to it. Did not get into the love affair or her marriage though.

Elins books will always have a soft spot in my heart! This book made me feel like I was the one having the affair and I felt the guilt and pressure Claire felt.

Got tired of the guilt of the affair...guess I just like happily-married or unhappily-married going for the affair.

I was perplexed by the characters in this book with one being the lack of emotion from just about all of them. Claire's husband irked me, the things he said and how he treated her were awful. The best friend was another one that had me scratching my head. I feel that this book could've been a 5 for me had the characters' personalities been more defined and explained and the ending not so abrupt, I felt there was so much left unanswered.
