Sappy and tender. I just. *sniffs* *blows nose*

That ending made me all teary-eyed.

A sweet and loveable love story with no miracles. Just people trying to make it through their lives with each other the best they can. Perfect.

I loved this one. There was just something about Travis and Drew that just settled deep in my heart. Both of them with their injuries, both of them isolated from others for different reasons. They just worked so well for each other. I loved how Travis could understand Drew so well. It was great finding out their backstory after reading [b:Astounding!|25668553|Astounding!|Kim Fielding|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1433484222s/25668553.jpg|45492095] and "[b:Bone Dry|23206076|Bone Dry (Bones #3)|Kim Fielding|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1410559123s/23206076.jpg|42749769].

This one is a quickie which both disappointed me (because I was enjoying it) and made total sense (because if one of your MC's can't talk, it does tend to cut interactions in half). However, I really enjoyed the fact that neither of the MC's was physically perfect but they seemed perfect together. I hate to say it, because the phrase is soooo overused, but they really did complete each other. 3.5ish but rounding up to 4 stars.

Kim Fielding is rapidly becoming a favorite author. She also wrote [b:Brute|16153646|Brute|Kim Fielding|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1353110870s/16153646.jpg|21991685] which I found extremely touching, and that's how I came across this novella.

I read this story primarily because I wanted to know how Drew, one of the main characters, was handled, as he has aphasia (inability to communicate through speech or writing or even sign language). The way Drew communicates was brilliantly written. In fact, it was Travis's willingness to learn how to effectively communicate with Drew that really touched my heart. Their romance is sweet and tender, focusing less on the sex and more on their interactions. This is novella length but felt like a complete story, and I was very satisfied with the ending.

So if you like contemporary MM romance, especially ones with "damaged" protagonists, go pick up a copy!

Great story, and I only gave it 4 stars because the ending was a little abrupt.

This was super sweet. I was hooked by the synopsis, wondering HOW you would get close enough to someone that couldn't write or talk to start a relationship. The book did not disappoint - the relationship between the two main characters was understandably a little slow to start, but seemed very believable and real. I loved the ways they were able to communicate, when the obvious wasn't an option. I wish it had been a little longer, maybe a little steamier ('cause I'm a perv like that), but I still really enjoyed it.

I have to say the story still flowed even though one guy couldn't speak or write. It's amazing how Kim Fielding wrote a book where only one guys spoke but it wasn't weird it worked out. Even though Andrew didn't speak the book still flowed like I said earlier. I so felt for Andrew, him being an author and not being able to do what he loved anymore, that's why Travis and Drew's love was so beautiful and speical. It made me cry, I was sniffing and my kitten was looking at me all confused, lol Would love a story on how things are going for them now:-)Even if I don't get one it was still good but I think when you have read a great story you always want to know what they're up to. .....Gotta love Elwood the cat for being a Seahawks fan:-) I'm a BIG Seahawks fan:-)
