Inaspettatamente coinvolgente, le prime 200 pagine sono la cosa piu lenta mai letta MA una volta arrivati all'inganno di Era non ci si può più fermare

While I admit that the first half was a chore, the second half's emotional resonance was downright startling. In the words of Danny Devito: "I get it."

I've tried to read this book several times. It's just not for me. I want to finish it so bad, but I just can't. it's so nicely written, too. This is sick.

Can you even actually rate The Iliad?
This book, this *story* has stood up to the test of time and SURVIVED. When you really, really think about that? It's nothing short of incredible.

Not tons of story in this story. That having been said, it was a fascinating tale from a historical and anthropological perspective. If I had to choose, though, I'd go with the Odyssey rather than the Iliad.
