A cozy murder mystery that pairs nicely with a steaming mug of tea (or coffee or cocoa). Our main character goes through a hard time only to receive word of her grandmother's passing. She gets to England, intending to sell or maybe run the shop, and discovers not all was as it appeared. This story is pretty fluffy, despite the murder. The ending was a bit predictable but the enjoyability of the rest of the story made up for it. The image of the vampires getting together to knit was equal parts funny and heartwarming- given the stereotypical image of a vampire. I don't know enough about running a business to comment on the depictions of it but I also didn't really pick up glaring issues.

I borrowed this book for a quick Halloweeny read expecting cozy vampires. What I got was cozy vampires AND witches; which was a pleasant surprise.

I enjoyed the twists and turns as the book went on, and loved how Lucy found her footing in her gran’s yarn shop. I crochet and wanted to jump into the pages so I could see the yarns and sweaters the author was writing about. The coziness of the neighbourhood was wonderful, but everyone remained a suspect until the end!

A highly enjoyable book and I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

I love the premise, and it’s a decent murder mystery, but the protagonist seems pretty dumb and the book contradicted itself a few times. Could have benefited from a better editor. The audiobooks narrator did a great job with all the different voices and accents.

This is cute and fun and exactly what I was looking for after some intense reads.

Also refreshing to have a nonfatphobic cozy mystery book to read and I’m hopeful that will be true of the rest of the series as well.

This was a fun, short little story about, you guessed it, a vampire knitting club.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story. I felt the narrator was pretty good and I liked how distinct each of the characters’ voices were, but I did feel like the voice of the main character Lucy sounded a lot older than she was supposed to be.

It also took far too long to get to the vampire reveal given that it’s literally in the title of the book. We could’ve gotten to the real mystery part of the book quicker and spent longer on that and the rest of the story than trying to get to the point where they’re revealed as vampires.

Overall, though, it was a fun, light-hearted read/listen and I’d been interested in listening to more of the series in the future.

This was a fun, quick, cozy mystery. The main character just kind of let things happen to her and was feeling indecisive throughout the book, which I didn't really like, but I will read the next one and see if it's better.
