A really, really beautiful story about celebrating life, even for the dead.

This really punched me in the gut. So beautiful and funny. (Read for class)

Now I feel punched in the gut for another reason.

This story of sisters is beautiful but when you peel back the cultural appropriation and horror at some details it's sad that a story like this is held higher than an authentic voice with a much different point of view.

Wonderful children's MG graphic novel. Warm, thoughtful, cute, and full of ghosties. Awesome for a bedtime book--or an anytime read. 5 stars. Highly recommend!

A beautiful story about loving through illness (MS), sisterhood, friendship, moving, and going back to one's roots. My 9-year-old and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the imagery. While the theme of ghosts might be slightly unsettling for younger children, there's nothing explicitly frightening in the book. I feel it's important to clarify, as it's implied several times that the sister might die, she does not.
