I absolutely LOVE the Maze Runner-trilogy so naturally when I saw this book in the store, I couldn't just leave it there :D

The stories themselves serve as a sort of plugging-of-the-plotholes, a bit of backstory and a bit of lore.
It's very short, a collection of short snippets really, but it all ties in with the original books so the world gets expanded a bit.

tbh it was way too short to be rated properly, but i really liked the parts where they showed the memories of some of them, especially frypan’s cause you dont really get to see much of him in the original books. it was interesting to read more about their personal lives before they got taken.

and the fact that minho had to choose who to save was honestly really cruel, but also the fact that he was willing to get beaten up because he would NEVER choose one and wanted to save them all was really sweet 🫶

informative
THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY A STORY!! The Maze Runner Files contains some documentation from WICKED (both before and after the release of the Flare) as well as two excerpts from upcoming (at the time) Dashner books. I only read the documentation, because that's what I picked up The Maze Runner Files for.

So don't be disappointed! This "book" is not a book; just think of it as a special edition file with extra goodies.
