Sometimes it’s just so nice to sink into a simple, straightforward story. It didn’t matter that I knew immediately who wasn’t going to make it and who’d be standing at the end. I simply enjoyed turning the pages and watching everything unfold.
Ended a little abruptly for my liking…but as with life (and death) stories have to end somewhere so I guess it was a hopeful place to end.

I enjoyed this book. With likeable characters, this book covers friendship, relationships, work/life balance, illness, feelings about fertility and grief so you couldn’t exactly say it’s a light read but it’s actually quite an easy read and a page turner. I also felt I learnt a bit about cancer and how it is treated.

This book was heartbreaking, but also eye opening. Its made me realise that time really doesn’t last forever and to cherish every moment, even the small things. Annabel captured my heart and really is such a unique character.

Would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting a deep read, something to get stuck in or help get out of a slump, anyone who wants to fall in love with characters, or just wants to be more educated on breast cancer. Which is so, so important as everyone can get it, and its so easily unnoticed.

Reading Laura’s acknowledgments at the end broke my heart, yet i am so glad she’s shared her story, and fought to bring notice to all different people.

Way more ‚chick lit‘ than I imagined. Not vad, but not what I expected.
