Didn't love the main characters or their chemistry. Casual fatphobia sucked. Plus I was super confused that the whole "grandad/only guardian is in the hospital for surgery" thing wasn't a more central point, like that's a huge deal for anyone, and could've been a great thing to explore in terms of vulnerability and building intimacy.

Good book with a good enemies-to-lovers trope, but again it felt a bit rushed. More of a slow build than the previous, but some of the anticipation was pre-maturely resolved by some parts being a little too blunt. Darling characters, but the ones from the first volume are still my favorites(:

This will now be my go-to enemies/rivals to lovers trope for bl.

First stop—I JUST LOVE HOW GAAAAAY THEY ARE. YOU KNOW? THE GOOSE BUTT AND EVERYTHING!! AND JANOME SENSEI JUST DRAWS THE PERFECT YAOI BLUSH EVERY SINGLE TIME!! I LOVE IT VERY MUCH!! YUP THE ART STYLE IS DIVINELY BEAUTIFUL. I swear, no—I hope the anime adaptation gives justice to Twilight Out of Focus art style. Also, I really love Ichi. Ever since the first volume, even as a side character, he is my favorite one. I just love how energetic and crazy and stupid and loud—and how passionate he is. He'd definitely be the embodiment of Romance itself and be the apotheosis of passion.

I'm thankful for this volume, sensei!!

4-stars because the later part kind of got draggy and dull for me? I don't know if it's the reader's block that's preventing me from appreciating such beauty because they suuuure are cute couple, though!!

best enemies to lovers I've read in a while!

Jin and Giichi are both in the film club but in different years at school. Giichi finds Jin's charm and affectionate nature annoying and wishes he would be more serious, and Jin thinks Giichi takes it too seriously and is way too critical. The two are constantly at each other's throats and the rest of the club knows to walk on eggshells when they are near, but certain circumstances lead them to room together for a whole year! Suddenly, Jin starts to see Giichi in a new light, and all the little things he found annoying are now traits of Giichi's passionate nature. Their love is so pure and sweet and comes from a place of growth and inspiration. Giichi continuously pushes Jin to pursue film outside of school which helps him learn that he is good at what he does, and Jin helps Giichi learn to not sweat the small things.

such a lovely story that is now my favorite enemies-to-lovers manga!!
