What a beautiful last Moomins adventure (technically [b:Moominvalley in November|79547|Moominvalley in November (The Moomins, #9)|Tove Jansson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1312008049l/79547._SX50_.jpg|3024935] is the last book in the series, but it doesn't feature the Moomin family). It's full of melancholy longing, appreciation of nature, Moominmamma's unshakeable patience, and little pearls of wisdom and amusement. The English title is rather misleading as the book deals with all members of the Moomin family, not just Mooominpappa. I loved Moomintroll's storyline the most because it features the elusive Groke (such a great metaphor for I'm not quite sure what), the beautiful sea horses, and Moomintroll's struggle with growing up. The only thing left unclear is why the Moomins abandoned Moominvalley in the first place, leaving behind their home and friends. Is Moominpappa's need for adventure really the only reason?
