I think this should have been two books, one for the war and one for after. She could have developed things in part 2 a lot more and it felt like she was trying to squeeze them in. Also F Rye.

After seeing all the five star reviews I went into this book hopeful.
Frankie was an annoying character who apparently fell in love with everybody.
I did not like her romance withRye it all felt pushed together even after they left Vietnam when they reconnect what the hell is that? He has an entire family and proposing to her. It made no sense. I understand the war changed people but still the storyline fell flat and had nowhere to go so then the author just shoves her back with Jamie in the end?
Every character who died apparently comes back in the end but it really didn’t add anything to the story.
Personally, I wish they would’ve focused more on the women both during and after the war.
