A really good book in the series. Some excellent character development for major characters of the heresy. Really enjoyed this book.

Wow.
Just wow.

Maybe it is as strong as it is due to the primearch ensemble, but wow.

Amazingly written with a beautiful split between what's happening with Luthor and co on Caliban and what's happening at the climax of imperium seccondus.

Amazing story that has me excited for what is next for all involved.

398 pages of Lion El'Jonson being the galaxy's biggest prick.

Another dependable entry in the Horus Heresy showcasing how this war of extremes has no heroes.

LOL, what a tease. It's almost as if every book threatens to at least bring Luthor and the Lion to a confrontation but then stops... and waits. Still, it's a far more interesting storyline than anything involving an Ultramarine!
