God what a great time! The way Mona Awad conveys the feeling of being in a confused haze is so impressive.

Ava being a creation fully gagged me. Looking back it was clear the whole time!!

This fell a little below what I expected, but it was a good, fun trippy ride. Just know it's very campy and goofy, definitely not a 'dark' serious academia. Also trippy (yes, twice, very trippy). In the end I understand less & less what was REALLY going on, but ig this books is for enjoyment & not for my brain to think or process. Long live round bunny tails.

When I read the blurb I thought it sounded good but I couldn't connect with it. Max was the best part and is only in it in the latter half. There were aspects of it I found interesting but overall I just found myself wanting to put it down. I think this is not for me.
