I absolutely cannot stand the female narrators voice. May try reading it instead, but the actual story wasn’t that great either.

I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this story. I didn’t expect two infuriating people but in a good way. Lyla and Lachlan were both unattainable and the first time he met her he was instantly intrigued and attracted. He never chased anyone but Lyla had him doing the complete opposite. Lyla despised people except her extremely small circle. She had no idea that Lachlan was the best college hockey player on campus and she tried to stay away. His constant chasing her made them form a sort of friendship but she didn’t want him getting close to her for his own safety. Something happened to her when she was younger that still haunted her and tried to hurt her. When Lachlan finally was let in things were going great until her past came and destroyed everything. She had to do what she had to do to keep Lachlan safe. Years passed by and they were in the same place again and he made sure this time that she didn’t runaway from him. These two still loved each other something fierce and at first they were angry but when the anger wore off these two together were a force. When Lyla finally opened up and told Lachlan everything it was an emotional moment and so hurtful when you realize who was the person that caused her so much pain for years. It was mind blowing when it was revealed even though I didn’t think it was that person but a relative of his. There was also some moments that will make you laugh and the last two chapters before the epilogue is one of those. And the epilogue was just brilliant and keeps you wanting more. Loved it!!
