This was a solid time. Was nice to see Dean and Allie's story since we'd already met both of them in previous books. Fairly low angst and low conflict, especially compared to the first two books in the series. Dean and Allie's relationship felt believable. I never fell fully in love with either of them, but I liked them both. I know we needed a conflict there in the third act, but this one was just really sad. Poor Bo.

Me personally? If anyone died in my life and my girlfriend broke up with me after 3 weeks because I was wrecked with grief?? Yeah, she ain’t the one.

Okay this one was definitely a tear jerker towards the end there. I can't believe what happened to Beau. I'm still in shock.

I loved this whole book though. It's not my favorite out of the three books I've read so far but it was still a fantastic read. I was laughing pretty often anime reading this. I absolutely loved Dean and Allie together. I'm glad Allie found someone who wasn't going to hold her back or hurt her(at least not intentionally).

I hated Sean in this book. Which was surprising because I really liked him in the last book. But he was an absolute asshole in this book. And we really get to see just how toxic the relationship between Allie and Sean really was. The things he said to her and the names he called her were just downright appalling and I'm so glad that Allie stood her ground the entire book and refused to get back with him(and even to just be friends with him in the end).

I loved seeing the appearances from the previous characters again. I love how protective Garrett was of Allie(with Allie being his girlfriend Hannah's best friend) when everyone found out about Dean and Allie's relationship. Logan was just hilarious as always. I wish Tucker had shown up more, but with that cliffhanger I understand a little bit why he was somewhat MIA throughout this book. And I'm excited to get into his and Sabrina's story.

All in all I'm still completely loving series and can't wait to continue it. I'm getting through these books faster than I thought I would. That's how good they are.

’Me: Decided it was time to live the Life of Dean.
Him: Took you long enough.’

I feel like this book had a lot of different things in it that the other has…such as a cliffhanger for the next couple. I do wish that the ending was a bit more romantic like the other two but I’m intrigued about the next book so I am down.

This one actually got me emotional towards the end, I got my emotions played with.
I really love this couple though. I do however feel like their relationship was mainly focused on sex for a long time but I was happy when they finally got their romance.
But I would like to say here and now. I love Dean. The playboy with a heart of gold. His relationship with little Dakota was absolutely adorable.

Again, this series has a very minimal plot. I feel like it’s based more on the relationships and character development which I enjoy so I’m happy. I feel like this series is a fun read all around and gives all the fluffy feels with a little bit of stomping on your heart, ya know?

Happy reading 🤍

“Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.”

I will admit that I didn’t really like Dean much in the first two books, but The Score totally changed my mind. He’s cocky, but also such a secret softie. His coaching was sweet to watch, and his support of his friends was endearing.
I loved how his and Allie’s relationship developed from a rebound to friends to something real. The had amazing chemistry and the fact that they were still pining for each other while carrying on with a sexual relationship was so well done. They had such a supportive relationship, and the conflict between them at the end was realistic and handled with care and nuance.
I think The Score might be my favorite of the series. It was funny (the bathtub scene and Dean and Beau’s Twilight conversation especially), soft, and sexy. It checked all the boxes.

“Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute."

I love love love Dean and Allie together! I totally did not expect the third book to be about Dean AND Allie! I thought another unnamed character would be Dean's love interest but it's Hannah's best friend! I would not have thought of that one at all! But I guess it got to be someone like Allie who could make Dean monogamous! She's his Renesmee (*wink wink*). OMG! The bathroom scene!!!! I can't! I laughed so hard during that chapter!!!! It's been a long time since I've lol-ed irl so it's definitely a plus points.

Story-wise, it's a good read. I wasn't bored and to be honest, I listened to this in one day. So that means I was really into it. I was just sad to see how Dean handles grief because everybody's been there and yes, I can see why Allie would be like that and I'm not blaming anyone. I was just happy to see them both back together because they are definitely soulmates.

Plus points for Allie's narrator because it's waaaaay better than the previous girl narrator.
