As I was reading this book, I kept going back and forth thinking it would be a three star, to five star, then back down to three star read. In the end, I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it. I read it as an audiobook and now I want to read the physical book. When I need to refresh myself on some of the details on whose backstory was whose, I couldn’t easily do that with the audiobook. So I’d like to read the physical book now to be able to get all the details straight in my mind, although it was not a hard storyline to follow. I think reading the physical book would boost it to a full five stars.

listened to most of it in 1 day and let me just say… PHEW!

i thought the premise was super interesting and could really appreciate the references to 80s slashers as a horror fan. some bits were too dragged out and certain details were too on the nose (and i would’ve liked more horror), but i liked the action and twists.

interested in seeing the screen adaptation!
