The book is praised for the "hilarious sarcastic murder-bot", and although I understand.... I mostly had a poker face while reading? The only things that broke my poker face were random comments about the way society worked (like polyamory and other weird stuff).
Besides that, other-planet setting and robots were never my favourite.
I'm thankful that this audiobook (the first audiobook I've listened to fully from start to finish) has kept me through my jogging sessions in the month of September, but nothing more than that.

For not being a sci-fi girlie, I so enjoyed this novella!
Following a SecUnit (security robot) who has named themselves "Murderbot", you get their very sarcastic and humorous inner dialogue - which so reminded me of my husband.
Such a fan of Murderbot.
I loved the adventure of protecting his human scientists, the political aspect of the plot, and the conclusion! The action was fantastic. I still cannot believe how much Martha Wells packed into this short story. I have some of the other novellas in this series and I'm itching to see what becomes of Murderbot and his next adventure.
My only complaint is that this wasn't a full length novel, I just want more!
