This really was such a fun ice princess enemies-to-lovers romance and I really enjoyed listening to it as an audiobook! I loved that this was set in the Scottish borders and was written by a Scottish author (and even better, the narrator is also Scottish and did a fantastic job!). I really enjoyed getting to know all the different characters and the book kept me entertained through several hours of crocheting and mowing the grass! I do think that the fire plotline came a wee bit out of nowhere and wasn't the best way to bring the book to a close, but overall this was a really fun read!

i think the book was too short for everything that was going on in there and we barely get any "relationship" kind of moments between the two women

I liked the story, I liked the two MCs, Lola Keeley is a fantastic writer, but structurally wise I felt like the book got lost into itself after the 60% mark, it felt rushed and just a bit off.
I went back and forth between giving it four or three stars, but I had a lot of fun reading it (I'm a sucker for an "ice queen" so you already had me there) and at the end of the day it felt worth it.

This was a nice little romance. We kick off the book with Tess, a vet moving back to her Scottish roots, getting lost on the winding country roads, and Susannah, a rich Lady who owns most of the land in the village/town, getting stuck behind her.

Needless to say they don't start on the best of terms.

I love a good enemies/rivals to lovers, so I was excited for this. I enjoyed the main characters and side characters (although Robin was somewhat cartoonish).

The only thing that let this down a little was the actual romance itself. While nice, I didn't feel a whole lot of chemistry between Tess and Susannah. I don't think they even started thinking of each other as attractive until half way through. They went from disliking each other, to somewhat friends, to suddenly making out and being in a relationship, but I don't know, I didn't see a whole lot of growth.

But never mind. I am very gay and love all lesfic!
