The idea that a blind person uses ropes to navigate their own space is ridiculous.

I throughly enjoyed this book! Brought me to tears a few times which few books mange to do. I’m looking forward to reading more from the author.

I found the section detailing Young Bob running away to be a little slow for my taste, otherwise I would have given it the full 5 stars.

Bob is a retired librarian who volunteers at a retirement home. He learns his ex-wife is one of the patients. She had run off with his best friend. The story is told in present and past. At one point the story goes on a tangent when as a child bib runs away to help some traveling players. Overall the story was interesting.

Oof, I do wish I could give it more, but must be honest with my review. Though the writing was good, the story felt disjointed and slow. As others have said, a whole section didn't feel like it added to the story. The characters were nice, but felt no attachment to them. The Title also felt disconnected, the only relationship being Bob is a retired librarian?

Most of this book was really lovely, but there was one whole section that I couldn’t connect with at all, and seemed completely unconnected to the rest except that it happened to the main character at another time. Definitely worth the read, but I would have given more stars without the childhood flashback.
