Entertaining. Wanted a quick read but I also was intrigued by the threads that were mentioned but not really pulled, e.g., people who exorcise demons, ppl who are possessed by demons and live among us. Selfishly, I was also hoping for more of a battle between good and evil, but this book was not that book.

This novella is a meditation on the experience of demon possession. It is narrowly focused and very atmospheric. The whole thing works because it is short and the sense of dread and tension propels you quickly through the simple plot. There are some deeply creepy moments that give the whole thing some spice.
