Nettleblack was a true delight to read. I loved every character, the premise was fun and unique, and the world was well fleshed out. It was a fun journey to go on!

The most charming book I’ve read in a long time. Delightful, earnest, fun - the type of joyous diversity that we all deserve! The characters were so vivid - especially Septimus - and the setting, pacing, and structure were just so pitch-perfect and compulsively readable. I knew I’d love this book as soon as I saw it, and it didn’t let me down!

This is one of the most well-written books I have ever read. One of the best books I have ever read, actually. The characters are so wonderfully diverse, unique, and lovable, each with their own distinct voice. The world is so well-imagined that I felt as though I were falling into it every time I opened the book. I laughed out loud many, many times at the clever wordplay, fun alliteration, and just simply the characters' way of phrasing things! Lots of action, but light-hearted and amusing all the way through. I was intrigued and enthralled throughout it all, and I am absolutely in love.

This book was such a fun little adventure. It took me about 100 pages to properly get into it, but once I did I was absolutely hooked. The characters feel so alive all the way through, and I found Henry to be such an endearing protagonist. Definitely recommend to anyone interested in Neo-Victorian shenanigans!
