it was good, short and easy and yes in its context it was impactful and memorable
(but from a literary perspective i didn’t find it groundbreaking oops)
still a very enjoyable read, with good quotes for my history classes

Wow! This book really surprised me. When I first read this book sometime in upper elementary or middle school, I didn't really understand it for what it was. I couldn't see through a lot of the flowery language and metaphors (a warning for those who struggle with this). However, now that I'm a bit older, I can appreciate it for all that it is.

It's ironic that this book about banning and burning books is a banned book itself, but I bet the reasons why are because of the use of profanity and the
ripping out of pages of the Bible by Montag
.

I would recommend this to pretty much anyone as long as they are mature.

This book was wonderful. The writing style is so beautiful, and the message is really important. If you don't like slower books, I may not recommend it, but Fahrenheit 451 is so well written that maybe it's pacing doesn't matter in the end.
Some great quotes:
- "Do your own bit of saving, and if you drown, at least die knowing you were headed for shore." (Pg 82)
- "You sound so very old." "Sometimes I'm ancient. I'm afriad of children my own age." (27)
- "He stood breathing, and the more he breathed the land in, the more he was filled up with all the details of the land. He was not empty." (138)

I really loved this book and it got me out of my reading slump. It was a bit confusing at the start but once you get into it its an amazing book.
