Compared to 1984 there was less world building but a more satisfying ending (whilst this arguably doesn't make the ending better)

Oh what I love vintage sci-fi. The screen-filled world Ray thought up in 1951 could be a direct answer to our 2017 society. Truly a good read.

Just wasn’t feeling it.
The forward was insightful,
The captain’s monologue of revealing the true purpose of firefighters and the imagery of the woman staying in the burning house was striking….
I felt very uncomfortable
The book was heavy and timeless, which was warned in the forward and I do plan on continuing and finishing this one.
