I loved seeing the opposite-attract relationship between these two. Together, they both opened up and supportive one another. I enjoyed their relationship a lot more than Dante and Vivian from King of Wrath, probably because it was much more realistic. I was a little annoyed that our girl couldn’t even write 100k words in four months. But honestly, mood. The most unrealistic part of this book was that Kai translates books into LATIN for fun, but I guess I’ll let that go.

"Just knowing you existed somewhere in this world was enough."

KAI YOUNG:
I adored Kai's character in the story! He was the perfect partner in every way - caring, gentle, and always there for Isabella. Ana was right when she said that he was different from all the other men written by her. What stood out to me the most was how much he believed in Isabella and her abilities. He never once doubted her and instead encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Not only that, but he was good at everything he did.
He translated Classics into Latin because he found that relaxing!

ISABELLA VALENCIA:
Isabella was a truly unique character with a personality that was equal parts sassy, charming, and witty. I loved her sassiness and her willingness to speak her mind, even if it meant ruffling a few feathers. However, despite her confident exterior, she had her insecurities, which often affected her deeply. Overall, Isabella was a complex character that I loved for her flaws and all, and her sassy, charming, and witty personality always kept me engaged and entertained.

They both seemed to be attracted to each other from the start and the slow burn was delicious! I loved how there was no unnecessary drama and they just acted on their attraction.
This book was something different from what Ana usually writes and I loved it. Ana is famous for her steamy billionaire romance stories and her swooning morally grey characters. She wrote this story out of her usual traditional style and gave us this opposite attract and a steamy story with charming characters and I loved it.
I loved how sweet and beautiful this story was because the characters were portrayed perfectly. The story was refreshing with the healthy and alluring romance of Kai and Isa without any lies and betrayals.

This book was okay. It definitely was not as good as the first in this series and doesn't compare to some of the books in her Twisted series. I honestly did not like Kai's character. I felt like his character was not likable at all. His dialogue was awkward at times, especially during the sex scenes. He point of view did not help my dislike for him either. Also, the references and name drops to other books in this series and the Twisted series seem a bit excessive at times. Now, there were definitely some swoon worthy parts, but as a whole, I struggled to not DNF this book and finish it.
