Completely Scared
is the second book in Kamisa Cole's DiverCity series. I have read the first book in the series and even though it's the same group of close friends, I feel that this book can hold up well as a standalone.

"I wanted Cameron with a ferocity that been growing for months."

I find this one hard to recap without giving away spoilers but it's definitely an emotional one. It deals with sexual assault, homophobic verbal abuse, discovering your sexuality for the first time and so much more. Finding yourself and living for you and not what others want from you. Trust, friendship, and support. I feel in love with the main characters, River is committed and a cinnamon roll who is all in when he makes a decision. Cameron is such a kind soul who suffered something horrible and his journey was admirable. The friendship that they form between them was refreshing and the sexual tension between them was everything. The sexual encounters between them were perfect, and they were a great combination between sweet and sexy that matched them as a couple.

"Trust me?"
"Yes." And how could I not when I knew he was claiming my heart a little more every second?

I enjoyed Completely Scared much more than the first book in the series and if they continue to improve with each one it will be a series I'll anticipate and keep an eye out for each new release. I'm really looking forward to whoever's book comes next!
