i honestly really enjoyed this! i thought clay’s conflict with her sexuality was very realistic. olivia’s brothers were fun! and i liked the inclusion of clay’s mom and dad’s storyline and how that developed. took me a lot longer to read than anticipated. the bullying was a little heavy in the beginning and definite TWs for bullying and homophobia but i thought it was necessary to explain their history.
3/5 because sometimes with the writing i just felt like i was missing something? like the events in the beginning didn’t flow very well and left me confused sometimes. additionally, sometimes the darker parts felt like they were trying too hard to be dark, like the rivalry between the rich kids and the tryst six- just felt a little bit cheesily-forced.
