This was a book that emphasises Graham's growing ability as a novelist. A story that moves from the past and the present. Dragging you into the story and keeping you fully invested in it. A book I have no hesitation giving 5 stars to. Well done Graham!

Graham Norton is such a talented writer. His story telling is subtle and powerful, gentle and fierce. He understands people and gets them onto paper, fully formed. I don’t know how he does it.

This was just OK and that is not a bad rating. It just did not blow my socks off. This is a mystery that takes place in alternate time periods, present day and 40 years earlier.

This format just did not work for me. It was tedious to switch back and forth between the present and the past, especially as the entire storyline became obvious less than halfway through. The ending was awful and twee. Norton can write, but judging by this, he can't plot.
