A good book, deals with a hard topic (death of a best friend) in a helpful way. It's not really my kind of thing, but I'm glad to know it exists.

Clover and Danny are best friends. They compliment each other perfectly. Everything is great until Danny falls ill, Will signs that he might not get better. A story of friendship and hope in the face of illness.

I wasn't a huge fan of this one. I thought it was just completely depressing the entire time I was reading it. I feel like I've read better MG grief stories, but for younger readers that connect with those stories this would still be a decent addition to an elementary school library.

"Maybe this is who I’m meant to be - a person who makes other people feel better."

This was one of the hardest children's books I've ever had to read. As a caregiver, so many of my secret thoughts and fears were put into words. As a character, Clover is so much like a mash up of 11 year old me and current me. That being said, this story was beautiful and so well written. I cried. A lot. But I also laughed and smiled and took a lot of notes.

Didn't hold my interest. I decided that not picking up the book for two weeks was a sign to give up.

As quiet and beautiful and achey as a snowfall.

A bittersweet love story of a friendship between two kids, Clover and Danny. I find Clover is annoying as hell trying to help out Danny at first, because she’s just a little kid which could do nothing about Danny’s health. As the time goes by, I finally realize that Danny takes a huge part in Clover’s life. Even though she finally makes new friends aside from Danny, I think Danny has that special place in Clover’s heart.

This book is amazing. I recommend it to anyone looking for a heart warming story about two kids and their fight against problems beyond their control that proves, in the end, love does conquer all.

You can predict what's going to happen easily, but it's still a cute story.
