This addition to the 425 Madison Ave series was a hit! We started out on a much-needed vacation with a little fling, that led to a fun wedding hook-up, and even after trying to be placed into the friend-zone after coming back home, things all just pointed to Harley and Raylynn being a perfect match.

I should have known since I enjoyed the first book by this author in this series, Love Under Construction, that I would like this one as well. And this one I liked even better! Once again we got to see a lot of the characters we’ve met in other books in the series, and it is so much fun to see all the connections. I really like how seamlessly this author was able to weave the past stories and characters not only from her own book, but also from other authors’ works into this one.

But just with this story itself, I fell in love with Harley, he was the big strong cop, but also such a nice guy, taking care of Raylynn no matter what she needed. Whether it was after food poisoning, protecting her from a stalker, and just the steamy perfect sex as well! I loved the steam in this story, it was perfect, and sexy, and just the right amount for my liking. Can’t wait to read on in this series, and I definitely need to pick up more by this author!

Love Under Protection is the fifteenth book in the 425 Madison series, yet it works perfectly fine as a standalone story. If you have read other books in the series – specifically Aubree Valentine’s Love Under Construction – you will recognise characters, but it is not essential.

In truth, I had a bit of a debate about what rating to give this book. I really enjoyed the first half and thought it could be a four-star rating. Although I enjoyed the second half, I feel things were a bit rushed. I wanted a bit more depth, I feel things moved a bit too quickly, and I wanted more of a surprise in how things came together. Thus, it became a three-point-five-star rating.

All in all, another enjoyable addition to the series.
