This short story was very good. It addresses biases; specifically where gender roles are concerned. The female professor and the class full of males all had biases to overcome. She didn’t think they’d learn from her. They didn’t think she had anything to teach. They were all wrong. The least likely to be reached had the most valuable input. I loved the theme of it as well & I wish I analyzed crime scenes as a job.

My biggest problem with this novella is the MFC, while a strong women and a girlboss in her own right, put too much focus on her male students and why they were going to do great things. Ma’am you are a girlboss I want to hear about how you actual solved crime not bragging about how your male students are the future.

This was good! I loved the pace of this (although it was rather quick). I would love to read more about Frances and about how her life was affected by this line of work.
