I read this entire book in one sitting (It's over 500 pgs). I could NOT put it down. Such an interesting P&P sequel! The book title and jacket summary are a bit misleading - for those who will read this you will understand what I mean. I read this book not realizing it continued Jeffers first novel [b:Darcy's Passions: Pride and Prejudice Retold Through His Eyes|6665376|Darcy's Passions Pride and Prejudice Retold Through His Eyes|Regina Jeffers|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51xQZMQkjRL._SL75_.jpg|3768565]. I hadn't read her first novel, but was still able to follow this one along without any confusion. I would highly recommend this novel for any P & P enthusiasts out there!

I was put off early on by the mediocre writing and incorrect verb tense usage. And believe me, I've never read another book in my life where that was actually something to complain about. However, you would think that an English teacher would recognize when a passage calls for the past perfect tense over the simple past tense.
