Okay, first off, getting your step-sister pregnant is a bold move. What the hell lmao. This entire book reads like slam poetry and it’s awful hahaha. Also the comment about how their son has big balls? What the… surely whoever edited this didn’t miss this part!

“Mom used to tell us that if we put our eyes together, they would look just like a tree. His were as green as the leaves, and mine were as brown as the trunk.” Not one person would say that hahahahah.

This is 100% my last Hoover book because her writing is awful.

Oh. My. Gosh.

This book got my heart broken so, so, so ugly.

But it also mend all the broken parts together, which makes up for all the ugly parts.

Ah oh yes, Colleen Hoover, you still surprise me. I mean, Hoover's books make you think they're cliche and predictable, then comes the plot twists and oh, it hurts so good, and it hurts so bad. And it just freaking mess you up.

THIS BOOK IS SO PAINFUL AND SO BEAUTIFUL AND SO BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND SO, SO, SO.

Where to begin…

I can say for absolute certain that this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. The characters, the story, the backstory (!!!), the ending, all of it felt like I was not only emerged in the story, but it made me feel like my whole heart and soul was the story. Not only is ugly love the title and what the book is about, but it’s also a completely real concept. I never really understood what it was until I read this book, but now, I can put it into words. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

If I were to have ANY complaints about this book, it would just be about Dillon. I saw NO reason for him to be in this story other than to prove the point of Tate’s older brother’s bad trait of his overprotectiveness toward his sister, and that he would proceed to act in that overprotective way when he finds out about Miles and Tate (But we saw that coming from a mile away. There didn’t have to be a whole character in order for us to see that (in my opinion)). In addition, it felt like his character was going to have a greater impact because we met him LITERALLY on page 3, before we even meet Miles. Tate and company then proceed to mention Dillon’s wife A LOT. However, we never met the woman nor did we even learn her name. But other than that, not complaints!

All-in-all an incredible book!

5/5 amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
