The book was definitely an emotional roller costar. There is a lot of emotional moments, pushing people away and not letting anyone in, grief, hard past, getting in terms with the past and including it in the life forward.
But I was feeling rather frustrated at everything [already mentioned]. It's kind of not very romantic, for me. It's just not my thing

Sincerely, this could be better if only the main character - Tate - was better developed and more rounded. I do not blame her for getting involved with an emotionally unavailable guy (that would be quite hypocritical). However, every time the author would describe Miles' problems and pain, as well as the mystery he somehow represented to Tate, I could not help but think "What do I even know about Tate anyway?". So, she has a brother, a mother and a father. She is a nurse and student. She has a friend/study group peer named Chad. Yeah, nothing else. It's like she didn't exist before she met Miles and didn't have her own set of traumatic experiences.
Anyway, I also didn't enjoy that he didn't seek therapy and is using her as his coping mechanism to work through the pain of losing his child. It's not fair and it's quite selfish.
Finally, it might be a me problem, but the sex scenes make up too big a portion of the book. I would like to have seen their relationship develop outside of the sheets a bit more.

I'm officially a CoHo fan!
Every book of hers that I've read so far has messed with my emotions, left my heart beating out of my chest and destroyed me and put me back together multiple times.
Ugly Love was no different.
I didn't agree with some things though,
Still, he owed her at least respect and sometimes he wasn't even showing that.
But again, Tate willingly continued with their relationship, carrying on with everything and despite the way he treated her.
I wasn't feeling the intensity of the relationship with Rachel at first but then it broke me and it made understanding Miles's pain and hurt a lot easier.
I liked the ending and after everything it happened it was the only ending I was willing to accept!!
This book really shows the light, beautiful side of love and how better it becomes because of the ugly side of love. It shows how one can't truly exist without the other.
Simply, I couldn't put this book down and devoured it in an instant.
