Thank you to Wednesday Books for providing the ARC for an honest review.

What I loved most about this book is how real it all felt. Yes, I know it's a work of fiction. However, everything from the rival schools to the characters were so well created. The strong history behind the schools? All of it made the story feel realistic and just made me more devoted a reader. I did find myself distracted at moments by all the subplots though. A more focused plot would have made this even more undeniable.

A campus novel with a plot that ranges from fun (pranks) to serious (sexual assault allegations against a teacher). I wanted to like this book more than I did. I think what bothered me was that the character dialogue was too mature and complex to be believable for teenagers. That's not to say that teens don't have complex thoughts or mature ideas -- they do. It was mostly a dialogue style thing here. And in contrast, the main character came off as fairly immature so don't pick up this book if you can't handle characters making poor decisions and lying outright to defend them. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.

E-book Arc Received from NetGalley.

This is an absolute must read if you like fake dating. The rivalry and ‘games’ played between characters really adds a level of questioning what’s really going on and what’s going to happen next. The story as a whole is just funny while bringing up serious subjects while still being light hearted about it. Honestly very good read and highly recommend.
