šŸ“–Thirteen year old Iris feels stuck in her small town and longs to adventure out and see the world. When she stumbles upon an abandoned lost town with her best friend, she canā€™t believe her luck. As they explore, their friendship is put to the test.

šŸ’This was such a sweet story about friendship. I loved the adventure of finding and exploring the lost town. The illustrations were really cute and I read it in one sitting. The little touch of magical realism was fun too.

Great choice for Graphic novel fans but I struggled with all of the action panels a bit.

ā€˜Treasure in the Lakeā€™ with story and art by Jason Pamment is a graphic novel for middle school age readers about a mysterious town that appears.

Bugden is a small town where not much seems to happen. The adults seem fine with it but Iris wants to get out of town and have adventures. Her friend Sam doesnā€™t understand this, but heā€™s a good friend. When the lake water level drops, exposing a forgotten town, itā€™s Irisā€™ chance to explore, but the mysteries may be costly for Iris and Sam if they are not careful.

I really liked this adventure story. The characters are great and so is the art. I think young readers will find this an engaging read.

This was kind of vague and I didn't really fully understand it. I rounded up from a 2.5
maybe If I were to read it again I would get it better but I just felt really disconnected the entire book

This is another Blue Hen Nomination for the year. I found the artwork of this story a lot of fun. I just really loved the feel of it. It was a book about adventure and the idea of leaving something behind when things change. It made me think of the Hilda comics a little. Honestly, I really enjoyed this book though I wish that there was more story to it. I wanted to know more about the village. Overall though I thought it was a nice story.
