I particularly enjoyed the setting of an English boarding school in the 1930s and I get why all the young teens in the mobile library love this series.

Lo he disfrutado mucho.

This was a fun middle grade mystery!

I loved the two main girls, they were full of their own personality and watching them solve the mystery was exciting. The mystery itself was interesting, though I found the solution (of who dunnit) to be fairly obvious. However, there were pieces of it I didn't catch, which was fun.

Their relationship was complicated and at times frustrating, but I look forward to seeing them work together in future books.

I would highly recommend this and look forward to reading more!

I'm big fan of cozy mysteries, and I thought it was such a brilliant idea to establish a murder mystery from middle grade level. I do think Daisy and Hazel are a great pair of characters, although I think this particular book is a little shaky and it's narrative and has some problems within it that some readers may not like I did find this really enjoyable and a lot of fun once you got to the meat of the story. I am definitely going to continue reading the series.
