Jeugdboeken zoals ik ze graag heb: grappig en onderhoudend. Eefje had me dit boek aangeraden nadat ik zo enthousiast was over de boeken van Katherine Woodfine (ook detectives waarin jonge dames de hoofdrol spelen). Qua stijl en setting trekken ze inderdaad op elkaar, zonder helemaal hetzelfde te zijn. En dat maakte dit boek dus ook een toppertje. Ik ben benieuwd naar de rest van de reeks.

Really loved this book!! Got me hooked and I read it in one day it was that good!! I loved the plot twists and I wasn't expecting who the murder was!! It's a nice quick read I would definitely read another one of the series!!

Quite sweet - I would have enjoyed this a lot when I was younger. Nice to see a non-white lead, especially in such an English setting. Only jarring thing was being completely unable to tell what time this was set in. Sometimes it seemed to be 19th century England, and then the characters would get on a bus. 1950's, perhaps?
