Good read. Entertaining. Reading after the Glass Throne series so probably should’ve picked a different genre and then read this one. It’s good. Could be just the start of a new series and haven’t built the investment in the story and characters yet.

The ending of One Dark Window was intense! I'm jumping into the next one right away. Great story, pacing was slower in part 1 & 2 though. 

This may just be a me thing, but I definitely had to buddy read this with Gemini. I needed a little help explaining the different magic systems at times, or what the different cards did. I needed a cheat sheet! The relationships between the different characters confused me, mainly her family. Again, maybe my brain just needed a little assistance. It makes sense why i was so confused at the end tho - iykyk. The story is good. Very different from anything I've read.
