There were a few stories I really enjoyed but overall I felt Look at the Birdie was more consistent.

Finally finished this after like 2 years. It was good! Didn't realize it was a collection of short stories when I got it. Not really a bad story in this collection imo but some really great ones.

Fun and whimsical stories. Very Vonnegut. I especially liked Report on the Barnhouse Effect and Unready to Wear

Why in the world haven't I read Vonnegut before? I loved these stories. Smart and whimsical. Gotta read the novels now.

Not his best, but even Vonnegut's middling work beats some authors at their best.

So hard to rate because this collection contains some of my favorite Vonnegut moments, and some stories where I had to fight the urge to flip ahead to the next story.

Some stories are 3-star, many are 5-star. Overall, this is an insanely good collection. Here are my favorites:

• Harrison Bergeron
• Welcome to the Monkey House
• Tom Edison's Shaggy Dog
• The Euphio Question
• EPICAC

Vonnegut always brings the satire, wit, and speculation.

I often claim to prefer novels to short stories, but Vonnegut is a master of both and can always be looked to for an illustration of just how large a story can be communicated in such few words.
