I ATE THIS UP like i was fully expecting crowpool to be a slowburn but the scene from the second last chapter CHEFS KISS. also brambleclaw being stupid but doesn't pmo because its justified af hawkfrost is a gaslighter manipulator. me liking leafpool chapters was the gag but omfg this book had a chokehold on me pls i know the next one about to be dramatic
Leafpool finally gets her name!
This book does lag a bit in the beginning, especially with the Brambleclaw/Squirreflight fight (I think I'm on Squirrelflight's side in literally all of their arguments). I hate Hawkfrost and have mixed feelings on Mothwing, so in that way, this book isn't my favorite, but I love the introduction of Crowfeather and Leafpool's relationship

brambleclaw is genuinely so stupid, i'm embarrassed for him
-the beginning was boring with the cats just traveling around the lake. Even after the clans get settled in it is a lot of border fight. I guess it didn’t take long for the clans to forget that they traveled together
-Brambleclaw is really dumb. He starts being loyal and dismissal of Hawkfrost’s actions after one conversation. Before this point Bramblecaw even acknowledges that Hawkfrost is power hungry. This is also where the “sins of the father” arc comes back. Which is stupid because everyone treats Brambleclaw fine. No one picks on him for his father after the first series.
-this is the point that Squirrelflight gets better. She matures slightly. She is smart, feisty, stubborn but is still funny. She is also very caring and feisty passionate.
-the argument between Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight does get annoying on both sides. Even though i love Squirrelflight at some parts with the argument even she gets a but annoying
-i am not a fan of crowfeather and leafpool together. Crowfeather is pouting about leafpool and leafpool is into it for some reason. He is not even nice to her.
-i enjoy the ending battle though. It was fun

The cats have reached a lake which they hope is their new home. However, they need to both divided the territories between the clans and find both a replacement for the moonstone and the four trees meeting place. This isn't straight-forward. Also there is in-fighting between the cats.
