This was the first Catwings book I read. I found it so poignant that I had to stop for 6 months before I could read the other I had, "Jane on her Own".
Loses one star for a lazy sort of a Midcentury America "whitebread" vibe to the human bits. LeGuin should know better.

This really is the perfect sequel. I love how the four catwings break off into two groups of two, because it helped me learn their names in a way that the first book did not. I enjoyed the return to the city, as well, and the plot of finding a fifth catwing was both endearing and intriguing. The illustrations are as lovely as ever, and I look forward to reading the next two installments.

Again this book did not disappoint. It’s so cute and the tiny kitten is absolutely adorable. I also feel like James and Harriette we’re definitely the stand out siblings from the first book so I enjoyed seeing them as a dynamic duo.

What a sweet read. A pleasant sequel with a similar feeling to the first one.

My son and I are really enjoying this series. So sweet! Plus, who doesn't love Ursula Le Guin? This was just as good as the first one!
