The latest Black Arrowhead installment is a riveting read from start to finish! I’ve always loved Joy, though I never expected her to end up with Atticus. That said, I’ve liked Atticus since the previous books—back when he was a baker in the Seven series, which I found really sweet.
From the moment their pasts were revealed, I immediately suspected that the vampire who took Joy was the same one responsible for Atticus’s old love’s death. That felt like foreshadowing, though I would have preferred it to be more of a surprise. The same goes for one of Joy’s wolves leaving her—it was predictable, but not necessarily in a bad way.
I really enjoy Dannika Dark’s books, but I’m starting to notice patterns in her storytelling. Still, the biggest surprise for me was Cleo. I’m fascinated by her and can’t wait to learn more about who she really is. Now, I’m eagerly waiting for the next book!

I went into this expecting Joy to be a cat shifter and was completely wrong. Such an interesting twist for her.

I don't like Salem. I find him too cold and clinical. I'm very much looking forward to his story if that happens and changing my opinion of him. I think Dannika will have a hard time changing it but I'm open to be convinced he's redeemable...

Joy is very well named. I find her just happy to read. It was so nice I found her positivity infectious and I couldn't stop smiling while reading this. Her and Atticus were so sweet and I liked their romance. He just swept her off her feet. I was also pleased he had a nice ending to his conflict as well.

These stories are just nice to read they're easy to get into and follow along. The flow is nice. I enjoy each book some are better than others and I can't say this is going to be my favourite in this series but I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next one whoever that will be!

So this was my least favorite of the Black Arrowhead books.  I liked the plot.  I liked the MMC.  I even liked the FMC, but just not for this book.  She came across as very old fashioned due to her being so reserved and worried about being proper, which in turn made her just feel...old.  She came across like my grandmother, which kind of ruined parts of this book.  I just didn't want to read about grandma being pregnant and getting it on with a 3000 year old vamp.  It may be ageist of me, and for that, I apologize if it offends, but it's just how I felt reading it.

And the more I read Virgil, the less and less I like him.  Not really looking forward to his, and what looks like Krys's possible book.
