Wonderfully creepy and disturbing. I did find myself frustrated at times, but that added to the complexity of the characters and their situation. An overall great horror book.

🍭a little spooky springtime read! 🌷 I was definitely getting a classic Orphan / Case 39 vibe; here we have a spooky manipulative child who loves one parent, and is determined to get rid of the other (permanently 💀). I was continually impressed with how Hanna manipulated /gaslit her schools, parents, and therapists, especially when she is 7 y/o. 😳 loved that the POV switched from Hanna and her mom every chapter, Hanna is mostly nonverbal (by choice, she chooses to say only really creepy shit) so her chapters helped me understand that #1 she was not possessed, #2 she is creatively insane 👹, #3 this girl is scary. The witch plot was interesting but a little hard to follow 🧐. I do wish Hanna’s final attempt was a bit bigger, there was so much build up!! Overall I couldn’t stop turning those pages 🏃♀️
