Okay, i have to say that this one is extremely better than the last one. I just wish that Finn and Wendy would pull their head out of their butts and just be together. I can totally see Wendy changing things when she is Queen.

I had fun reading this book as much as the first book, so at least the author is consistent. haha
After getting to know the characters in the first book, this was a faster read than the previous for me. Again the author utilizes the drop off ending, which is kind of annoying and ruins the flow. Also there appeared to be a bit more grammatical errors in this book than the last. In the end, the story is still entertaining enough to continue on to the next book.

waaa

The second book in the Trylle trilogy, Torn was even better than the first. The whole troll idea hasn't been played out, even though they aren't the traditional trolls that are short, green and live under bridges. :)
Wendy leaves the palace, and her place as princess to return to her human family. Without the protection of the guards the Vittra are able to kidnap her for their king. Both Matt and Rhys were with her, and were kidnapped as well. Now that the secret is out, Wendy is able to tell Matt all about her true heritage. Wendy is still hurt over losing Finn, which is one of the reasons she returned home. Anything else would be too much, spoilers below, or just read it.

***Spoilers***
Wendy is captured by the Vittra, specifically Loki. He isn't at all like the others of his kind, he doesn't want to kidnap her, or harm her. While she is held hostage she learns the rest of the secret of her history. The Vittra king, Oren is her father. He and her mother were married for a short time, it was arranged to bring the two kingdoms together but once Elora learned what an evil man he was she couldn't stay with him. He didn't want to send Wendy to be a changeling, he wanted to keep her close. Elora knew that she couldn't allow him to raise their daughter, so she hid her away. Now Wendy is the rightful heir to both the Trylle, and the Vittra kingdoms. Loki allows the princess, Matt, and Rhys to escape when Finn, Tove, and Duncan arrive to break them out. She and Loki have a strange relationship. He is threatened with death by the king almost daily. He actually has Trylle blood but his father was a traitor who joined the Vittra. (Just my personal opinion, but I think she should be with him. It's almost like Adrian & Rose. If she can't be with Finn, at least he is of royal blood and she actually likes him.) When Loki comes to the Trylle kingdom to ask the princess to return, he is captured, and used as a bargaining piece to gain a few months reprieve. The Vittra agree to stop all attacks until after Wendy is queen. While planning her arranged wedding to Tove (supposedly it's the best thing for their people), taking over most of Elora's duties because she is too sick to attend them, and catching up on the Trylle history so that when she is queen she will know her people, she and Finn have one last hot makeout session. He is giving her up for her own good (aren't they always). Oh and she also kisses Loki when he comes to plead with her once again to leave, but this time to run away with him and leave both kingdoms behind. At the end of the book Loki comes back to the kingdom, beaten and disheveled, asking the princess for amnesty.

No to teda! Jedno překvápko za druhým! Na to, jak mě to původně vůbec nebavilo, se to ke konci parádně rozjelo. Už jsem zvědavá na závěrečný díl!
Tove, Tove, Tove!
SpoilerLGBT everywhere! Že bude s tím Bainem? Že jo?

DNF

I didn’t hate this. it’s one star because I DNF it. I just found it dreary and not worth my time. It was also disappointing compared to the first book which I actually really enjoyed. I feel like the author used up all the excitement and build up in book one so there was nothing to look forward to

The second book in this trilogy did not disappoint. It kept up with character growth and plot thickenings. Definitely a page turner!

This is a fun quick little read, I’m happy I am finally making my way through this series. I’m excited to see what the last book will hold.
